This program reviews a recent publication in The New England Journal of Medicine. A discussion of how CPAP did not prevent cardiovascular events in patients with moderate-to-severe obstructive sleep apnea and established cardiovascular disease. This was a large study with an n of 2717 participants. This will be a great review of how you can proactively discuss the benefits of Oral Appliance Therapy for the CPAP intolerant patient with your medical colleagues.
